Evelyn turned 2 today! She's growing up so fast. Last year she couldn't walk yet, now she's running. Last year she only said a few words an now she's putting together crazy sentences. Last year she'd eat anything we ate, this year she won't eat anything!
I'm so grateful to have her I can't even imagine life without her.
We celebrated at home and opened her presents, and she wanted to put on her Cinderella Dress from Nanna right away. Then she said, "I want to go to the ball too!" After she opened each thing she really wanted to play with it before she opened more gifts. But it was getting late and it was time for dinner so we hurried things along.
Clayton and I got her the tent/ tunnel thing so she can run around like a little gerbil and the red vest outfit. Grandma Becky and Grandpa Leo got her clothes, an angel doll, and some bristle blocks. Auntie Shawna, Uncle Brad and Co. a Hello Kitty coloring book and crayons. Nanna and G. Gerry, some clothes, the Cinderella dress and Jewel package, a fairy wand, a boa, and some clothes, and modeling clay. G. Grandma J. a little people CD (she thought it was a DVD and she said, "I want it on, now. On TV, I watch it!") a little people playset, (she took the bunny to dinner with us!) a camo sweatshirt/pants and some other clothes, Uncle Chris Aunt Katrina and Co. an elephant magnent she can color, some pj's and a fun hat and mittens. She loved Everything! So thank you all so much! (The fun just keeps coming too, Auntie Jennie said that she mailed Evelyns present yesterday so we'll see what she gets in a couple of days! Prolonging the birthday fun is never a bad thing!) ... And she loved it! A Groovy girl and a bed for her to sleep it. Evelyn was so excited! Thank You, Thank You!
We went out to dinner at Red Robin. Evelyn loved getting sung too by the staff and really liked the ice cream sunday they brought her! For dinner she basically had ketchup and ice-cream. (Ahhhh when will she eat again???)
She got "Happy Birthday" phone calls from Auntie Shawna and Emily, Auntie Jennie and Sophia (whom I'm told said that Evelyn should just come over to her house for a party since Sophia couldn't go to Evelyns) and Nanna. Each time she got to talk on the phone she got the biggest smile. "Happy birthday, ME!" she'd say. What a great day! There's only one thing we forgot and that was to find a cupcake for her candles, but we'll do that tomorrow, I doubt she'll know the difference.
Sorry this is sideways! But here she is blowing out her 2 candles! (she didn't care it was a day late and no cake too, if you were wondering, she just likes blowing out those candles!)
