Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times

Us up in the mountains

Happy Thanksgiving!

We were invited to spend Thanksgiving with TJ and Stephanie Meynders in Rexburg and since it's only a 4 hour drive we took them up on the offer. On the way there we saw a lot of antelope and Evelyn called them "ampelope" She really liked seeing them! Thanksgiving was alot of fun! I actually felt grown-up (finally!) helping to put together Thanksgiving dinner. There were only a few minor set-backs (we were too lazy to bake the pies the night before so we made them in the morning and consequently the turkey took a little longer to cook than we thought...the natives started getting restless!) But it was delicious! After dinner the kids wanted to paint, Evelyn took the concept past paper and decided she was a better canvas!

Dinner Time!

Oh dear!

Evelyn had a blast playing with Hayden and Kayla! The only sad thing was Hayden was determined to get Evelyn's "Softer", her favorite stuffed dog, (she has two dogs that are almost identical but the newer one has been named Softer because it was softer than the old doggy.) Aparently this was a little traumatic since on the way home while she was sleeping she kept mumbling, "Mine! Mine!" and "I want my Softer! My puppy!" I would have to reach into the back seat and make sure the dog was touching her hand so she'd settle down. The good thing is that Evelyn has been perfecting her shareing skills and would offer Hayden her "other puppy" (not Softer) to get him to give Softer back.

We also went with them to the Targhee National Forest to pick out their Christmas tree! Evelyn fell asleep on the way there and when we all got out of the car she woke up and said, "I want to come too, Daddy!"

Good Times.

Hi! Okay, I just HAD to comment on the finger paint picture. That is adorable! I looked at your blog through Zack and Julie's blog. I feel the same way about no comments. It took me forever to figure out where to leave comments on yours though. That might be why you don't have very many. Do you have a counter through statcounter.com? They are AWESOME! Atleast then you will know that people are looking at your blog. Come see mine... TommyandLorraine.blogspot.com Great Job on your blog!!! Love the pix!
