Yellowstone

We're not positive, but we think this may be the elk we spotted last year. He was in the same area and his antlers look really similar. He was on one side of the road and when all the cars got between him and his harem of lady friends he got kind of antsy. He walked right behind TJ's car to the other side of the road to check on his girlfriends. Wow! We're sure glad we got to see this guy!

This was up at Monmoth Hot springs, there were 5 different groups of elk hanging around. The ranger said that this guy has been known to attack a car or two. But wasn't really aggressive to the other elk. There was a really big Bull, with his harem just up the road moving this way, we didn't really get a great shot of him, but we could see his rack from where we were.

Stephanie, TJ, and Hayden. Kayla was sleeping in the car. We almost didn't spot these guys sitting up there on the hill, they were our first "fun" animal sightings of the day.

This is the third year we were able to go to Yellowstone. I think it's turning into a family tradition. We stopped in Rexburg and stayed with TJ and Stephanie Meynders and had a great time. We spent all day Saturday driving around the park and this time we took the upper loop. We saw some great elk but not too many buffalo.
