Last weekend we drove to Oregon for my nephews baptism, a cousins wedding (we ended up missing it...) and getting a big girl bed for Evelyn at Ikea. What a crazy trip! we left Friday afternoon, didn't get to my aunts house in Oregon City till near midnight, woke up, went to the baptism at 10, didn't get done with that till 12, drove back to Portland from Salem. Ate lunch at Ikea, had multiple problems with incompetent people, didn't leave Ikea till 3!!! drove to Beverly Beach for the reception, didn't get there till 6! We talked to the remaining few reltatives for a while then got back to my parents house in Neskowin at 8:30pm. Ate dinner ugh...so late, then drove to our hotel and didn't get to sleep until around 10:30pm. Woke up, got dressed, drove back to my parents, talked/loaded up, etc, and left their house at 10:30am...we decided to forgo I84 so we could see a differnt highyway and cut straight across Oregon through bend, finally arriving home at 10:45pm.. what a weekend! We're not planning on doing than again anytime soon. However, despite spending most of the weekend in the car, we did enjoy seeing everyone (including my sister from Tuscon and her little girl) The Oregon coast is so beautiful, and it was great to see my nephew get baptised.
