Clayton had New Years Day off of work and so I talked him into playing handyman. Our family room (and living room too, but the living room has table and floor lamps) doesn't have any ceiling lights. I don't understand this trend in decorating style from years gone by. Personally I like being able to see in my house. We decided that wall lights would be best {and easiest} to put in. He stole power from the plugs and wired each light to it's own switch. Very convenient for adding just the right amount of light needed for various activities. Evelyn was "helping"...this picture actually was more fun before I fixed the red eye...there was a lovely evil glint in her eyes.
{and yes, that's a very rusty saw in her hands pointed at her daddy! And YES I was more interested in immortalizing this than telling her that she should "help" in a less dangerous way}

Now we have lights on either side of the doorway.
YAY!

It must be so nice having a handyman at your beck and call. They would definately be some perks to being married to a contractor!
I bet that makes such a difference. Way to go Clayton!! :)
